Benedict—a 250-pound concrete gargoyle—resides in the front hall of the Keyhole House, silently watching over and protecting the home.

During a visit, Merrickville, Ontario artist Maureen McAuliff (maureenmcauliff.com) was inspired by Benedict’s quiet presence. Captivated, she sketched and painted him, capturing his timeless charm. Maureen is a self-taught artist who finds joy in transforming heartfelt emotions into vibrant expressions on canvas.

Sam Hopkins from Shoebox Studio created a high-resolution digital scan and stunning archival-quality giclée prints on 8″x10″ Agave Archival paper. The prints are packaged in clear archival sleeves with acid-free backing and a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
